This FGM training course is for anyone who works with vulnerable adults, children, or young people and covers important issues including FGM (female genital mutilation), abuse linked to faith or belief, and forced marriage. You’ll learn how to identify vulnerable people while being culturally aware and how to report abuse if you’re concerned about someone’s welfare.
Description
The prevalence of FGM, abuse linked to faith or belief, and forced marriage is a very serious problem, and anyone who works with vulnerable adults, children, and young people needs to be aware of its indicators and consequences.
This FGM training course helps learners understand these issues, identify vulnerable individuals, and report suspected abuse, using videos and real-life scenarios. It’s part of our safeguarding training offering and is a great follow-on course for those who have completed their Safeguarding Everyone training.
The course will take approximately 3-4 hours to complete, depending on the speed at which you prefer to work through the material. Your progress will be saved automatically, which means you can pause and come back at any time.
At the end of the course, learners will need to complete a short multiple-choice test. Upon successful completion of the test, you will be able to download a CPD-certified FGM training certificate that can be printed and kept for your records.
